TENANT TIP:  HEAT
 
Heat is one of the essential services which the landlord must provide
{section 121 (4) Landlord-Tenant Act}.  If your apartment is not
adequately heated (68F during the day) then you should call your landlord
immediately. If you get no satisfaction, then you should call Property
Standards at 564-1717 in Ottawa and 727-6600 in Nepean. 
 
You should keep track of the temperature and the days that you have no
heat. If the problem persists or you suffer damage as a result you may be
entitled to an abatement of rent.
