Dear _________________:
      Landlord's Name

I moved out of your apartment located at
_________________________ on ________________________________.
    (Former Address) (Date I moved)

I gave you a written forwarding address as required by the
law; I have waited thirty (30) days since moving and I still have
not received my security deposit back as of this date.

According to the Ohio Landlord-Tenant Law (ORC 5321.16), a
landlord is required to return a security deposit within thirty
(30) days after a tenant has moved out.

The law further states that if the security deposit is not
returned within thirty (30) days, the tenant has the right to sue
for twice the amount wrongfully witheld, plus the cost of the
attorney.

If you return the deposit to me within ten (10) days, I will
not take legal action to obtain the return of the monies you owe
me from my security deposit. I am sure that both of us would
prefer an amicable settlement.

I look forward to hearing from you.

                         Sincerely,

                         ______________________
