The Emergency Housing Rent Control Law of 1961 [EHRCL]

Section 7. COOPERATION WITH OTHER GOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES. 1. The commission shall cooperate with the federal government and other appropriate governmental agencies in effectuating the purposes of this act, and shall endeavor to procure and may accept from the federal housing expediter and other officers and agencies of the federal government and from the temporary city housing rent commission of the city of New York such cooperation, information, records and data as will assist the commission in effectuating such purposes. 2. The commission may request and shall receive cooperation and assistance in effectuating the purposes of this act from all departments, divisions, boards, bureaus, commissions or agencies of the state and political subdivisions thereof. The commissioner and state rent administrator shall be deemed to be an officer included within the provisions of section one hundred sixty-one of the executive law, and shall be accorded all the rights and privileges of the officers specified in subdivision one of said section.
