Housing Law Workshop

The National Lawyers Guild is interested in presenting a free Housing Law workshop for us. It will focus mainly on the mechanics of Housing Court and give a general overview of tenants’ rights and housing law. It will be approximately one hour long and will probably be held at the Met Council office. No prior legal experience is necessary.

The Housing Law workshops are part of the Guild’s Street Law Project. They operate on an “each one teach one” premise, meaning that upon completion, participants are expected to pair off with veteran facilitators and present at least one workshop to a tenant or community group.
