Apt. is in NYC. One of the locks on the front door of my building is broken (the cylinder fell out). There is a metal gate over the front door (with a lock) and a knob lock on the front door -- so I'm not feeling terribly threatened. However, the landlord needs to fix the lock --- what is the time limit on fixing this (24 hours?, 3 days?). He still hasn't fixed it and I need some info to prompt him. I'm guessing this is a case for HPD (falls under warranty of habitability?).
