Nothing, this is not even a rent litigation, but rather a small claims court litigation. You would win with proper documentation in small claims court, filing doesn't cost that much but getting back to NY does. You don't need a lawyer for this. Note this type of person would most likley NOT show up and you will have wasted your time, a court decision does not force her to pay umless you file to garnish her wages. Ask yourself is it worth it? If not move on.
