Tenants Organization Member Strikes Another Member

Posted by Gebbie on March 02, 2000 at 11:43:26:

Building under new management, have new office manager who believes that she controls and runs our Tenants Organization. We are in the process of voting and appointing new officers, but the office manager has intervened and is attempting to stack the deck for a member who physically struck another member. We don't want this member in as an officer, but don't know what we can do to disqualify her from being appointed. What can we do legally, to get the office manager out of the Organizations' dealings, and what can we do to prevent this other member from becoming our next "Vice-President". We are a group of senior citizens who mostly back down from the office manager when she says JUMP. I am probably the only one who will stand up to her, however, I fear that she may try to label me a trouble maker and keep me from renewing my lease. HELP.........
