lawyer fees etc

Posted by Mindy on March 28, 2000 at 19:55:49:

Please accept my apologies for the multiple postings
below; they were unintentional.

I consulted with a pro se lawyer today who suggested I
would not need a lawyer since I paid back rent, have my
receipts ...

However, I have a nagging feeling it would be good to
have a lawyer to peruse my documents and represent me
in court to avoid potential traps. The pro se person
mentioned that a good attorney might ask for aretainer
of $1500. That I cannot afford.

Any suggstions on finding an attorney for a simple case
at low cost? Are there such persons???

Mindy
