My landlady has a different lease with my neighbors that allows them to keep cats but my lease says no pets. I've been keeping a cat for the past 8 months and she just found out and is threatening to evict. Do I have any leverage based on the fact that there are different leases for different apartments in the same building? She won't give me a reason either why they can keep pets and I can't. Does she have to give me an explanation? How much time do I have before she can legally pursue action?
