No one can offer real help unless you give us the info asked for in the box at the top of the page. L&T laws vary from state to state and city to city.

You will also need to describe that 'eviction notice' more clearly.

Your verbal agreement can be a defense to his non-payment eviction, if you succeed in proving it to the judge's satisfaction.

Read the court info on Housing Court Decisions section of TenantNet Home: good basic advice even if you don't live in NY.

ps: all-caps is difficult to read and is considered 'shouting' online. Seems to be a problem mostly with AOL people: turn them off, if possible.
