We're going to respond, then let's end this thread.

First Mark, we have a life and do other things beside this web site. Even so, it takes a lot of time to maintain and we spend many long nights after midnight keeping things up. Much of the current material is on our email list. You get that, right? For example, all the RGB info has gone out on the email list.

We don't make a penny from TenantNet. If anything, we've lost money over the six years TenantNet has been on the web.

Yes, a number of people contributed to TenantNet a while back. It was for a new server because our ISP had changed the nature of his business and we needed to "co-locate" with our new server. The money went for that, not for salaries or time we spend on working on the site.

One person seemed to think that Housing Court Decisions might be separate from TenantNet. It's not. Housing Court Decisions is completely part of TenantNet. Tenant attorneys volunteer their time to read, review and write the case summaries. These attorneys are in private practice with their own case load, and they too do not get paid a cent for their efforts. Yes, they get behind, some find that providing the written summaries cuts too deep into the time they should be providing to their clients. We are aware the HCD is behind and we are making efforts to catch up. But remember, this is all volunteer.

As for a 'breaking news' section, we are working on just that, but it involves a good bit of programming and balancing the obligations of TenantNet and all our other obligations, sometimes things don't happen as quickly as we (or you) would like. Indeed, we have asked (and are grateful) that a few of our readers report some of this on this board.

As for responsiveness to email, I don't recall your sending email, but if you did, what we say on our mailto form is that we can't always respond. We get over 200 email messages a day and there just isn't time to respond to everyone. Many are along the lines of "what are my rights..." The answer is: read the website. We don't respond the those. It's not rudeness or attitude, it's just a lack of resources.

As for the optional image URL -- Mark you are the one who is not being responsive. We answered you within hours of your post -- and you did not respond. There are close to 9,000 messages on this forum. We did a search for any discussion of these URL's. We don't deny the issue ever came up, but we can't remember the last time it did (certainly not recently) and your complaint seemed to come out of the blue. So tell us what was previously said and when it was said.

We know we're not perfect, but we try, and that's all you have a right to expect.
