i live in manhattan in a 100 year old building. the stabilization status is being disputed right now. five of the six units in the building are on the same docket (assigned in early april) and are awaiting word from dhcr. has anyone out there had any luck with rent overcharge PARs? how long did it take dhcr to reach a decision? and for those of you who won--how was payment settled? did and landlords try to claim bankrupcy? our landlord has several rental buildings, a comedy club and a night club. but they may all be operated as separate l.l.c.'s as my building is. will this stop the courts from putting a lein on their other properties?
