Rent Stabilized tenant in Manhattan. I just received a letter from the cable company saying that they need access to the building to upgrade the service, but that they have not been able to reach the Landlord. They are asking for my help to get them access to the building. I have a crazy landlord that will probably not allow them access at all. I do want this upgrade. What are my options, if the landlord doesn't allow them access to do the upgrade, can I take legal action and ask for a rent reduction based on reduction of services?
