First, don't use all capital letters when you post a message.

Second, read your lease and option to purchase. Does it say when you are allowed to exercise the option, and how you must exercise the option? Is there any provision which would allow the landlord to end the lease before three years?

Third, the local bar association should be able to give you the names of several real estate attorneys who will do an initial consultation for a small fee. Bring all your papers to the attorney's office. Ask the attorney if there are any California laws which might award you attorney's fees if you have to fight your landlord's efforts to end your lease before three years and the landlord's attempt to deny you the right to excercise the option to purchase.

You might still have the right to exercise the option, and the landlord may just want to sell the house -- at a higher price -- before you exercise the option. Unless the lease and option say that a sale of the house ends your option, you would still have the same right to exercise the option with the new landlord.
