I love Tenant Net. I live in a coop in Manhatan. Have a bathroom repair job replacing tiles that coop is obligated to pay for under proprietary lease. They have agreed to my contractor (after it has been two years without this bathroom) and are being slow about payment/reimbursement and are asking for a "release" before payment. Nobody in the history of this building has signed a release in regards to a repair. They are perhaps afraid because we asked for a rent abatement. I believe they want us to sign away this right. I won't fdo it. I don't like the sound of this release...is it in anyway standard in New York?
