With respect to Ed's response and Kerry's regarding the harrassed tenant...I agree with both as I am in a similar situation. Best advise is to find another place to live or just deal with it. In my case the tenant "young lady" has "friendships" with local police. Needless to say there is no "equal justice for all". My super, my landlord, the police basically have told me that the best thing for me to do is move! I'm extremely quiet, pay rent in full on time, no pets, no "visitors" coming and going after midnight until 4-4:30a. I have holes in my ceilings, cracks in my walls, no this isn't NYC this is Rockland County where decent affordable apartments are far and few between.

So either move or as Kerry stated "step lightly", it will cost you in the long run, unfortunate but true.
