I live in Palo, Iowa and was wondering about eviction procedures. They gave me a thirty day notice to move because my lease was up and they didnt want to renew it because we have had many phone conversations previous about fixing things and some were heated because they wouldnt come out. I wrote them a letter stating to keep my security deposit for my lasts months rent and they then served me with a three day notice and then served me with a notice to appear in court for possesion four days later. The court date is today 9/26/00 and I went in and gave them the keys yesterday but they still have not cancelled the hearing. If my husband is listed on the court document as a defendant with me does he have to appear also with me ?
