As we said, this thread is dead and any more responses will be removed. It's a favorite LL tactic to cite so-called abandonment, but studies (including those we have reproduced here on TenantNet) consistently show abandonment is caused by other factors, not rent regulation, and many cities that have worse abandonment problems (i.e., Detroit) never had rent regs. When the poster doesn't do his homework, as here and in the case of his other comments, any discourse turns into a pissing contest. That can happen on Usenet, not here, because we won't take the time.
