NYC Rent stabilizied tenant.
10 years ago I filed a complaint w/DHCR for having been charged additional security. Now, after winning every step along the way I can finally collect the treble damages I was granted. My question is what interest (%) is usual and customary in these cases. Someone told me 9% , but I'm not sure.
Once I determine what the correct interest is, how do I calculate it (single or compounded) starting from 1992, when I won the 1st phase of this process.
Can anyone help?
