Moving out early

Its never too late. Try talking to your landlord now. When you signed a lease, you agreed to pay rent for a given term. It is possible that the landlord could demand that you continue to pay the rent you agreed.

However in reality this seldom happens because the landlord can usually find someone else to rent to. Just explain what has happend and keep things on "good terms", chances are you can be released from the lease.
