Lower east side, rent stabilized building, 12 units.

Here's a "unique" situation. Apparently, the apartment next door to ours has been rented by a "professional dominatrix". The two occasions I have seen her she has been dressed up in leather and latex. Whipping and spanking sounds eminate from her apartment, and I assume "client traffic" is going in and out all the time.

This has been going on since July. Well, is this situation legal ? Is there anything we can do about the strange sounds, or is this something that New Yorkers just tolerate ?
