Reasonable wear and tear?

Posted by myname on December 20, 2000 at 14:09:47:

What exactly is considered to be reasonable wear and tear?

I've been living in my apartment for 3.5 years and will be moving out next month. I know that the landlord can keep some or all of my security deposit to cover damages, not including reasonable wear and tear. What would fall under reasonable wear and tear? Is there anywhere I can go online to get a more detailed legal definition?

Thanks.
