: on dec 27 2000 my landlord took me to court on a holdover do to the fact the enviromental protection stated my basement apartment is illegal in court my landlord agreed to give me 3 months to leave then there was a problem it seems the landlord lied.the court attorney it seems was hired by the landlord i asked for a dismissal but he said if i wanted to play hardball he would now the court is senting an inspector on the 3rd of jan and the attorney told me after that i will not get 3 months what do i do? was this an illegal holdover?

Your message is all confused: you need help fast.
As soon as the inspector leaves, take all the papers relating to this matter to the Pro Se Attorney in the courthouse ASAP, or take them to Legal Aid, or take them to one of those free tenant clinics.
