Assuming this is New York, I am fairly certain that a corporation can sue you in small claims court. If not, they would have to sue you in civil court. Either way, it is tough to beat a back-rent claim.
Also, if you have a standard lease they can probably ask for attorney fees.
You can always try to claim you were forced out because the place was a miserable wreck. Be sure to bring witnesses and proof you notified the landlord of the mice etc. Its worth a shot, I guess.
