got a notice? what notice? a rent demand?
this is shortly followed by a Petition (lawsuit). you must must must follow up on this. even tho "they can't sue you in Housing Court", if they start a lawsuit and you don't go to court, they get a default judgment which also hits your credit reports. go to your HC once a week and check the public access computer. then get the case dismissed by bringing proof that you moved: telephone, cable installation bills, movers bills, etc.
