Hi,

My friend lives in an rent-stabilized apartment in NYC and is about to move out, I am willing to pay the brokers fee to get the apartment but I am wondering how much the landlord can legally raise the rent after a new owner (me!) moves in? I know how much he is paying now so I am curious how much more my rent could be.
