: Here are just a few questions. I am moving in to a house in sacramento, ca and i want to know just a few things. First does a land lord have to provide window coverings on all windows, or some windows, and if just some which ones? Also is there a link on the internet to this information. Thank you.

NO...landlord does not have to provide window coverings in CA...most states do not require this; however, you should realize that if you install blinds or other coverings with SCREWS, they will become FIXTURES in real estate AND become part of the real estate and can not be removed without the landlord's permission. If you do remove them at the end of your lease, the landlord can charge you for any damage. You should check with the landlord/rental property owner about the proper coverings to use.
