I need answers!! I rented a room in a house from a lady who was actually renting the place from someone else. I never signed a lease or anything and four days after i moved in, I left a notice that i would be moving out at the end of the month. Several things attributed to this-i was bitten by her dog, locked out when she changed locks, and the house was broken in to. She gave me a letter saying she would give me my deposit-minus utilities back. Later she sent me another letter saying she found out she did not have to because i did not give her enough notice. I need to know if anyone knows Georgia laws on this matter!! HELP PLEASE!! i am taking her to court and need to make sure i know my stuff!
