I recently moved to Long Beach, Long Island and am renting an apartment from a private owner. This past weekend, I found out that everyone in the complex, except me, is using section 8. That in itself does not bother me, what bothers me is that there are socioeconomic consequences I have had to pay by living there. Had I known this information I would not have moved in because I would have been aware of these problems. My question is, was someone (the broker, or landlord) required to disclose this informaiton prior to me moving in?
