Legal Harrasment byLL Update

Posted by Long Island Apt on March 24, 2001 at 07:24:38:

If anyone cares, by the way thank you for the one response "JT" I did receive. I had to get a lawyer because my rights were totally ignored. And have won the first battle. The Judge told her in court to withdraw her Hold Over because it was defective, or if she insisted she better get a lawyer because she was in a heap load of trouble. She had not given me a 30 Day notice and had taken my money and by such had violated my rights. She withdrew. Now I have to defend myself against the false Assault charges. (Just for the record, I'm a female also), In the mean time she continues to harrass me by removing services to the apt. First she cut the power to my stove, the the next day cut my cable for the TV. This is going to be a long battle while I'm looking for another place. I did not gain much insight from other Tenanet's but hope I have opened some eyes to the real scary world of renting.
