My landlord has not offered me a new lease even though the old one finished about a year or two ago. It used to be that if you were in a rent stabilized apartment and the landlord did not offer to renew your lease, your old one was still valid. Is this till true? Should I take action against the landlord for not offering the lease renewal or leave things as they are? We had a big argument today over the heat and they yelled at me telling me that if I didn't like it I should 'get the hell out'.
