Tenant's rights as it pertains to an owner of an ajoining property

Posted by Tommy Quaid on April 02, 2001 at 16:49:28:

I will try to keep this short. My girlfriend's father (76 years old) grows grapes on a common fence. The vines are planted (the roots) are on his property. The vines have grown up onto the fence. (the fince is a chain link fence) The fence is shared with a irate renter/tenant. During a recent episode the Tenant crossed over onto his property and cut/pulled the grapevines from their roots destroying them. What can be done under Texas law?
