: I'm moving an hour away and buying a new house and have 2 months left on rent. I live in Mississippi and my landlord will not let me out of my lease. Do I have a right to terminate the lease. Would it be under the landlord tenant act? Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every state has different laws, so someone familiar with Mississippi laws would need to answer your question.
I would guess that no, you don't have a right to terminate your lease. It is a contract and you want to break it.
