well, it's probably not a *complete* list, but maybe just a list of LL's this guy was able to compile. that's what the website makes it sound like. so there's that, but also the fact that having a list of people who own rentals is not the same as having a list of good available apartments. does this list include the addresses of every property a given LL owns? otherwise you are taking shots in the dark, you'll have to call each LL and find out where they have apts, for how much and whether they have any *now*. so while it's an inside track to have a LL's phone #, it sounds like it will turn into a lot of work. but to get a place in manhattan, that may be what it takes.

anyhow, bottom line is, it's only $30, right? that's not too bad, considering how much brokers and listing services want. it couldn't hurt, and you proabbly should exhaust every resource you can find. so i say do it, but be careful and don't expect this list to necessarily be the end-all-be-all.
