you can make the conversion yourself fairly easily. it's just a matter of switching the outlet for a 3-prong, and finding a place to connect the 3rd (ground) wire (you can usually just attach it to the metal box the outlet sits in. do a search online for instructions (try www.ehow.com). it's really not hard, just remember to turn off the electricity first!

those plugn-in adapters are convenient, but even when screwed onto the outlet they never seem to hold correctly.
