Thanks to JJ for posting the link to NYARM (New York Association of Realty Managers).

The article in NYARM's April 2001 newsletter, Recent Developments Regarding Roommates In Rent Stabilized Apartments, written by Stephen C. Shulman, of the landlord law firm Borah, Goldstein, Altschuler, Schwartz & Nahins, P.C., is very poorly written, with numerous typos (to be kind) and legal errors -- both pro-tenant and pro-landlord.

Check the roommate law, information from DHCR, and information from TenantNet before or after reading the article:
