New owner of property must honor existing leases. Find out where your security deposit is going. LL is under no obligation to tell you that the property is for sale (although this information is usually publically available).
: landlord did not inform that the dwelling (3 units) was listed for sale with a broker, and one apartment was leased for one year. if the dwelling does sell and close before the end of the one-year lease, does the new owner have to honor that lease? or, does the new owner have the option to ask the tenant to leave with reasonable notice? shouldn't the current owner have informed the tenant that the property was for sale before the siging of the lease?
