If it's merely mice and not a rat, then yes, a cat would be the best way to go -- I pray none of you are allergic to cats. If it's truly rats on the other hand, well, rats aren't scared of cats. They've been known to fight with cats and scare cats away. Rats, unlike mice, aren't scared of humans, either. And rats grow to the size of cats. If it's rats, perhaps the next step is to call the Department of Health...


: Get a cat it is the best you can do. What do you want the LL to do? Traps don't work nearly as well as poison does, rats outsmart traps. The LL could put on a safari suit and get a small gun and go rat hunting, but that would require him to set up a position in your apartment. Just joking. What else can they do? Maybe your frustrated because you have no ideas either. LL's are not some kind of rat get rid of miracle workers, do you really think he likes rats in the building and having to field complaints? I have talked with many an exterminator, the only sure fire defense is......a cat.
