I think that the balcony has to be cleared, period, of any obstructions, including cooking in any style shape or form on the balcony.

: Hi. I have been told that BBQing on one's balcony is illegal by fire code. My question is whether I would be able to use an electric grill (like a George Forman Grill) to cook outside? My landlord says no, but I though I would check rather than just taking his word for it.

: Thanks.
