I moved in to a house in September 2000 with 40% portion of monthly money paid supposedly being deducted from purchase. Paperwork was supposed to be done later. The owner/builder has a partner. They don't appear to be in sync. The partner is greedy and wants to only rent and changes my payments to "RENT" from "PURCHASE". Many things weren't completed, including a live wire in the cupboard, a missing breaker due to lightning, a hole in the bathtub since day one, dead bolts never completed... etc. The owner/builder lives a block away but always has another project he is working on. Do I have rights? Can they raise the "rent" or evict me?
