Eviction is not a simple thing for a landlord to do, I have been in a similar situation and was able to eek out 9 months of tenancy without an atty. A judge will not throw you out on the street, even without an atty., you can rep yourself in court and the judge will almost certainly give you several months, and that could probably be extended. I think the landlord is facing the tougher challenge, you should be fine, but as the previous respnse suggested legal advice is good whether from this site or anywhere else, best of luck, and hang in there!
