I had a similar problem several years ago. Try cauking all the cracks and filling any holes you can find where the mice enter. Buy yourself about a dozen sticky traps and run them along the routes where you see the mice most often - they're much more effective than poison.

Then if that doesn't solve the problem, go up to Animal Control and get a cat for $60. My apartment was so bad I actually caught 43 mice in one week. Once I filled the holes and got the cat I haven't seen a mouse in here since.

: My apartment is overrun with mice that keep me up all night. I've informed the landlord about this in writing, over the phone and finally by certified letter where I demanded that he have regular extermination (which he doesn't). Still, the only response has been to have his weird, smelly and bizarre handy man show up and offer to stuff some steel wool under the radiator and give me some poison.

: There are approximately 3-5 mice in my apartment all night every night. I have stopped cooking here, have a lid on the trash, throw the trash out three times a day and, basically am trying to starve them out and it doesn't stop them.

: What are my options? How can I get the landlord to reguarly exterminate the entire building. Exterminators have told us that if they're up on the fifth floor (top floor) that the whole building is infested for sure.

: thanks.
