I see your point. But I am especially grateful I don't own a house, esp. in the climate now. The pricings on houses nearby NYC are outrageous, prices that have doubled and tripled for little sorry matchboxes. I would have to live a state away at least and deep into that state in order to afford a house. Where I am, I'm close to my job and transportation, don't need to use a car and pollute the air, and the best part is I don't have to worry about a mortgage. I think you exchange one headache for another, regardless.

And no, believe it or not, she's not always on time with the rent. He sends someone over to collect on the late people and when they knock on her door, the noise stops suddenly and they don't come to the door.

: This is not relevant to helping your fued with your neighbor. But nonetheless must be said. Too bad you didn't save your money for seven years instead of renting. Instead of fighting with your neighbor now you could own the place, or something similar.
