We waited until today simply because we had other priorities. We are considering other forum/board software -- i.e., Ultimate Bulletin Board or Discus -- if anyone has any comments. Both systems have many additional features and solve the archiving issue, but would require users to sign up for an account. Users could pick a handle so their personal email would not be revealed to other users, but it would also deal with the issue of some users using different handles all the time. Both systems are widely used and popular.

The current system offers a lot in its simplicity and we are reluctant to abandon the current system as some may not want to post to a system where they need to set up an account. Nevertheless, it may be time to move on.
