Sept 2001 With A marriage of my niece and then the WTC tragedy I forgot to Pay my Sept. Rent. When I received my Oct. Statement and saw the rent doubled I immediately sent out 2 months rent on October 3rd. On October 17th I came home and found a Eviction Notice on My door with a $200 Lawyers fee. I was only Late for Septembers Rent. My question is: Can he put an Eviction Notice on my door and do I have to pay this Lawyers Fee???
