I am renting a non-stabilized apartment in Brooklyn, NY, with a 1 year lease. There are two other units in the house.

If my LL agrees to let me break the lease a month or two early, am I entitled to the full security deposit back?

Also, this LL bought the house from the first LL after I had been living there for a few months. How do I assure that my security deposit was given to the new guy? I guess I should just ask, huh...
