Don't rent from (or to) family members

That line says it all. You mentioned all sorts of garbage in your post, but it boils down to a family dispute, something more likely to be resolved on the Jerry Springer show than in housing court. Undoubtedly your relative/landlord has a very different side to tell.

The only way you can expect to salvage whatever's left of your family is relationship (if not with this person, but his/her kin) is to leave immediately and take care of your housing on your own. If you're not inclined to do this, then I would ask, how would you rather move out - on your own, voluntarily, or forced out the the sheriff and the rest of your family ?
