My mom was never fired, they just told her to get out of the apartment because they needed it for their office. It was just coincidental that another apartment opened up in the same building at that time. She continued to be the super at that building for at least 2 years afterwards and then she quit.

: Seems to me your mother was had! But fighting an owner occupancy proceeding has almost always been difficult because you have to prove something is going to happen or not happen before it happens.
: Your mother got fired and they moved her into a smaller apartment, and bypssed the legal requirement of notifying the tenant of non-renewal on grounds of owner occupancy-pretty slick. The question is, what came first?
