Damages

Posted by Wes on November 07, 2001 at 21:56:12:

Okay,
I recently moved out of an apartment and 30 days later the leasing agent sent me a bill for carpet damage. I was told by them that they found bleach stains in the carpet and they could not dye the carpet. The bill from the carpet cleaner said that it was bleach stains. When I asked the leasing agent how she knew it was bleach she changes and said it was a chemical that I used. I did not use any harsh chemical on the carpet. There was one spot in the bedroom that I used Resolve to get up a juice stain. She claimes they had to replace the carpet in the entire apartment. They are threatening to send the bill to collection. I took pictures of my major electronics and I am sure that I you can see the carpet in some of the pictures. What should I do?
