PROTECT TENANTS

Rent stabilization and rent control protections should be continued. I would introduce local legislation to continue the rent stabilization and rent control laws after April 1, 2003 and fight for legislation in the State legislature to continue these protections. I would fight for legislation in the State legislature to enhance the Senior Citizen Rent Increase Exemption program and expand this program to other tenants in need of assistance.
